Yep, good is good enough!
Sure it’s okay to strive for perfection, but perfection takes time.
If you have a product (or service) that is good then get it out there and start selling it. Don’t hold it back and wait until it’s perfect to release it.
Subscribe to the Apple & Microsoft school of thinking…sell it now, do upgrades and corrections later.
A product (or service) will never be 100% perfect, there will always be time to improve it later. But everyday you wait by not getting your product (or service) to market is costing you money. Everyday you wait trying to make your product (or service) perfect is costing you time. Get that good product (or service) out there making money today and as the sales roll in you can use the profits to improve it later.
I know so many people who get hung up on the concept of perfection that they fear someone will not like what they are selling because its not up to standards, so they tinker with it always striving to make it better. Yet, never releasing it for sale until they are satisfied its ready. Years go by and its still not ready. UGH!
Had they subscribed to the “good is good enough” mentality they could be making money with their not-so-perfect product while using proceeds to improve the next model for sale.
Don’t get hung up on the concept that people demand perfection, they want value, they want assurances and they want good.
