Last night while out to dinner with friends, as we were leaving a gentleman wearing a “Lancaster Teamsters” shirt approached me and said “Hi Rob”.
I reciprocated with, “Hi, how are you?”
But, being that I didn’t recognize him I followed up with “My apologies, could I ask your name?”
He replied…”I’m nobody, but you’re a famous world speaker”. I wasn’t sure if he was being serious or sarcastic but then he introduced his wife as “Stacey”.
Well Sir, if you are seeing this post…if I offended you because I didn’t remember your name, please forgive me.
And please stop referring to yourself as a “nobody”. You are a somebody. You mean the world to those who know you.
And as much as I appreciate being called a “world famous speaker”…I am not.
But you Sir, being a proud Teamsters member make the world turn with the products and services you deliver to the market.
And I would be happy to dine with you and your wife and get to know you better.
