On Sunday I must’ve twisted my back while mowing the lawn.
Well that night I started to feel it.
Then Monday came and oh boy…the pain got worse. Getting up, sitting down, standing, breathing and even blinking my eyes caused massive electrical current to cascade through my back and a couple of times almost bring me to tears. Ice, heat, bio freeze…none of it seemed to work.
Tuesday seemed a bit better…I was able to sit for longer periods of time.
Wednesday was the first day I ventured out and decided to ride along with my wife to her haircut appointment. Wow, walking across the parking lot to the hair salon entrance was a freaking work out. What would normally take tops 45 seconds, took me about 10 minutes to hobble across. A 105 yr old with a walker passed me (I think twice).
By late Wednesday night I started to get more mobility and the sharp electrical stabbings weren’t as pronounced.
As the days progress I’m sure I will heal up and be back to normal…so why am I sharing this?
Well…it comes down to this…shit happens.
You can’t prevent it. But you can plan ahead.
This is exactly why I’m always working 30-60 even 90 days ahead with the content I produce for my company or that of my clients.
I had August’s content already to go back in early July.
Plan ahead that your company can effectively keep going if you get injured.
