I’m your Huckleberry?

{well that’s what I thought he said when I answered the phone}

Me: You’re my what? Huckleberry?

Them: No, this is Cole from Huckleberry.

Me: Okay and?

Them: I see you started to fill out a form on our website but didn’t complete it.

Me: Hmm, I don’t recall. But if I didn’t finish I was either (1) not impressed with the site (2) it asked for way too much information (3) I was bored with it or (4) decided it wasn’t worth my time.

Them: Well I’d be glad to capture that information from you right now and we can finish the form together.

Me: And how long will that take?

Them: About 5 minutes or so.

Me: So basically double the time it would take me on your site.

Them: Yes, but I can answer your questions while I have you on the phone.

Me: Let’s review the reasons I didn’t finish filling out your form to begin with.

Them: Can I get your full company name and address.

Me: I’d rather not.

Them: What is your title in the company.

Me: Chief Instigator

Them: Sir if you’re not going to take this serious I don’t think we can help you.

Me: If I was serious I would have finished filling out your form, but I didn’t. And then you called and I had to explain the reasons why I didn’t fill out the form. But you want me to be serious with you so you can help me, when I don’t need your service.

Them: Apparently today is not a good day for you, I’ll call back another time.

Me: And you won’t be my Huckleberry then either.
