So I get this email…

My name is Kevin, I’m a blogger with a focus on internet marketing. I noticed that you offer guest post opportunities – are you still actively accepting them? I’d be honored to submit content for your approval if you are.

I reply…
Before submitting…
DO YOU
1) have a website?
2) have social pages?
3) have a youtube channel?

He responds that he doesn’t have any of those things.

And that folks is why you never hire anyone whose work can’t be verified.

Oh, I’m sure Kevin is a super nice guy…that might actually know how to write (or dance maybe, who knows). But, seeing that he offers internet marketing and doesn’t know how to market himself (except through email) tells me that he really doesn’t know diddly about marketing either.

Now, I’m sure you get emails everyday just like Kevin’s telling you how great their blogging or SEO or social content creation is and it may sound legitimate, but before you decide to blindly hire them do your due diligence. Ask the obvious questions first. Make sure the person can be verified.

Everything we do here at Anspach Media can be verified. Yes, we blog. Yes, we write books. Yes, we create brilliant content for our clients social media. Yes, we optimize their websites and videos. And yes, we help build trust with their community. It’s what we do…and yes, it can be verified. But just don’t ask us to dance…we aren’t that guy from Footloose!

So the next time you get an email from Kevin or anyone else saying how they can help you, ask for their website, ask what social pages they can be found on, ask who their clients are…just ask questions. Or, simply just delete the email then pick up the phone and call us. The number is (412)ANSPACH
