I knew then that having a book that I could share with the world would be the catalyst that would change my life.
It almost didn’t happen.
You see that summer I filled a box of printed articles and headed for the mountains for some rest, relaxation and maybe, just maybe, some writing.
I was going to put together all the articles I ever wrote at the time and assemble them into a book.
I had about 100 pages assembled and as I started to read through I thought…nah this isn’t going to work.
And I took the whole book and tossed it on the burn pit and set it on fire.
It was liberating and sort of scary.
I just burned up all my articles.
I knew though that those articles were just the beginning to something new.
And so, for many months, I thought about what I would write about, how my book would look like and what story would it tell.
Then returning from an event in Arizona I got the idea to write what would become the easiest social media book anyone would read.
I called it, “Share: 27 Ways To Boost Your Social Media Experience, Build Trust and Attract Followers” and it became instant hit.
Because I knew in my mind that I needed something different, something unique, something no one else had and it worked for me.
And that book became the thing that changed the course of my business. And now 8 years after writing that first book I have produced over 30 other books for myself and others.
What’s one thing that has changed your business or life?
