I was emailing a client earlier today on some ways to increase referrals.
And I asked when was the last time you sent a “Thank you” card or a “Thinking of you” card or even a handwritten note asking how they were doing. And their response, “who has time to do that?”
Well, I don’t care how busy you are…there is someone always busier who takes the time to acknowledge their tribe.
And while I was emailing my client, this post popped up in my Facebook feed by my good friend Lee Milteer…
“Writing Thank YOU cards today for all the wonderful people who have extended gifts or favours to me that I want to Acknowledge. Yes, real paper and stamps! In the Business world not taking the time to show GRATITUDE to others is very short sighted and prevents you from Bonding with people to create long term relationships. Everyone LIKES to feel Appreciated.”
Yeah, it’s old-school and we live in a digital world…but how many have you received a thank you card or note and just felt all warm and fuzzy inside. That card, or handwritten note put a smile on your face and lit you up and made you feel special.
Put your thoughts to paper and let your friend, client, mentor, colleague, patient, or even your boss know that you are thinking of them, you appreciate them and are acknowledging them for being super special.
