You’ve been tempted to buy them!
Eight years ago, I stood in front of a bunch of entrepreneurs and taught my very first class on social media.
And yet even back then, I was telling people NOT to buy followers.
I can’t believe that some people think this is a viable solution.
Buying followers (or likes or comments) may make you look more popular, more important, more credible but it won’t do anything for engagement. Nope, your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and other social channels will actually suffer for it.
And it won’t do anything to build real trust with your audience.
Yet, there are some who believe showing off their huge fake following will impress enough people that they will get more fans, more sales or some how get notoriety in some fashion. Nope…doesn’t work that way.
If you’ve been approached by someone that says they can get you more fans, more likes, more comments or more shares…just say NO. It’s better to build your brand, your page, your audience with genuine likes, comments and shares than with fake ones.
