Another so-called “Closer” ends his short lived LinkedIn friendship with me. Well, I’ll give him credit he did hang in there for a few days.
Them: (Aug 11) Pleasure to e-meet. I came across your profile via mutual connections; thought I would reach out to connect virtually. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions RE: how we can scale your business by leveraging our closing team.
Them: (Aug 12) I know we just connected, but I wanted to reach out. It looks like you are in a similar field to many of my clients. I have been leading sales teams for some time and I’ve noticed that many of our clients are excellent at what they do, but often struggle or find it difficult to capitalize on the leads they’ve worked so hard to cultivate… Alone. This is where my company steps in to retain and enroll your new customers from these leads. Having a talent and passion for sales has allowed me to create a bigger, wider impact through my clients as we scale their businesses. I’d love to learn more about who you serve and in what capacity. And of course, once I have a better understanding of what you do, I would be more than happy to send any referrals your way. Cheers P.S. If you prefer, we can set up a call. Use my schedule link
Me: (Aug 12) I take it you actually didn’t read my profile because had you…you would know exactly what I do.
Them: (Aug 13) I was under the impression you ran a business in the marketing world, in which you sold your services in various packages to clients that need your expertise. If this isn’t the case then I apologize.
Me: (Aug 13) And I need your services why?
Two days later I was unfriended.
