Look I’m no Jedi but I do warn people of the mind tricks gurus play on desperate entrepreneurs.
By the time an entrepreneur comes to me, they are mentally broken and looking for a way to generate profit again.
Unfortunately for some, they are so dependent on that guru that even though they need out, the fear of leaving paralyzes them.
They spend thousands of dollars every month getting so-called coaching on how to do things to help their business grow they actually lose focus on what they are really good at. And sadly that coach keeps telling them to try this and try that, and at the end of the day the entrepreneur is exhausted from doing things that don’t excite them. And they don’t have any money left to hire a company to do all things that would help them focus on being their best.
Your best is what you excel at, and that’s what makes your business run. So if you’re a lawyer you focus on the law, if you’re an electrician you focus on electrical wiring and if you’re a carpet cleaner you focus on keeping customers carpets clean. What you focus on that isn’t your strength is what takes you away from your core power.
Sure it’s okay to have an understanding of marketing or time management or even what the current postage rate is for a 6×10 bubble wrapped book being shipped to Istanbul…but it should never take away from what your strength is. That guru is putting way too much pressure on you by teaching you how to do everything in your business.
Pfft. Screw that. Be Free!
What you really need is to learn to delegate the things you don’t have time for or have no desire doing…and hyper focus on what you really love to do that generates you the most profit.
