In today’s world, where cancel culture reigns and everyone seems easily offended, standing up for common sense has become an act of defiance. This reality hit close to home when one of my books, Rob Versus The Entitled: Defeating The Aggressive, Offended, And Easily Triggered With A Little Common Sense & A Lot of Sarcasm, was removed by Amazon for nearly six months. Why? Because someone found the title too triggering.

But the irony is that this book, born out of frustration with entitlement and overly sensitive behavior, quickly became a fan favorite among those who have faced the wrath of cancel culture. It resonates with readers who are tired of being silenced for simply speaking their minds.

The Struggle Behind the Book

The saga began when Amazon removed my book, citing concerns over the title’s provocative nature. While it might seem like a minor inconvenience, this decision underscored a much bigger issue: the growing influence of those who aim to silence opposing viewpoints. The book’s removal was not just an attack on my freedom as an author; it was a glaring example of the very problem the book sought to address—our culture’s inability to handle differing opinions without resorting to censorship.

A Community of Resilience: James Staake’s Story

My book’s journey wasn’t the only battle against cancel culture. My friend James Staake from Your American Flag Store faced his own uphill struggle when a major payment processor withheld $90,000 of his credit card orders. James’s business, which celebrates American pride and craftsmanship, was unfairly targeted, leaving him in a financial bind that could have ended his dream. However, thanks to the unwavering support of loyal customers and friends who believed in him, James eventually managed to reclaim his funds. I had the opportunity to interview James about his ordeal on Episode #297 of my E-Heroes Podcast, where he shared how perseverance and community support helped him fight back.

A Triumph Over Censorship

Fortunately, Rob Versus The Entitled is back on Amazon, along with my other books in the “Rob Versus” series. It’s more than just a personal victory—it’s a statement that we won’t be silenced by the easily offended. The book’s return is a testament to the power of resilience and a reminder that, in the face of cancel culture, standing up with a bit of sarcasm and a lot of common sense can still make a difference.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated by the current climate of entitlement, or if you’ve faced your own battles against those who try to shut you down, this book is for you. Join the ranks of readers who are fighting back, one laugh and eye-roll at a time. You can find Rob Versus The Entitled and the rest of the series at www.RobVersus.com.

Let’s keep the conversation going, keep our sense of humor alive, and never let the easily triggered dictate the narrative.
