What does “affordable” mean to you?
To me it means it’s within the realm of what I can pay. I see the word “affordable” used to describe services such as cleaning, electrical and yes even health care…and none fit the realm of what I can pay.
So who determines “affordable”? The person selling or the person buying?
If it’s the person selling – then I would definitely use a different word to describe your services. If it’s the person buying then understand this…you are advertising to the wrong market.
The lower the price the more hassles involved. Going after the “affordable” market prevents you from making real money in your business and creates a mindset that you aren’t good enough to sell to the higher end market.
Oh, and frankly whats “affordable” to the rich is out of the realm of whats affordable for the poor.
So, if you’re a business do you operate on a sliding scale that adjusts for both rich and poor?
