How A Kick To The Shin Can Change Your Perspective!

Four years ago while visiting Lourdes, France I was approached by this little girl who couldn’t have been more than 10 years old… she stuck out her hand, and in her palm was a coin.

She looked at me and then looked at the coin.

I thought she meant I dropped the coin and she was returning it to me. So I took the coin out of her hand, said thanks and continued on my walk.

Before I could even think how thoughtful this little girl was, she kicked me in my shin and took the coin out of my hand.

What I thought was a kind gesture turned out this is how she begs for money and I just took a coin out of a little girls hand.

I tell you this story not to make you laugh but to show you an important example of how a little girl can change your perspective and make your internet & social media presence more meaningful to others.
