Phone rings…it’s Credit Card Services calling me again…
…you’d think they would learn by now.
So I played along as usual.
Gave them false information and they tried to verify it…and what do you know…nothing matched.
Sir, can please read the entire card number – all 16 digits.
Me: Sure.
Sir, aloud please.
Me: Oh, I’m sorry. You weren’t very clear. {So I make up 16 numbers.}
Sir, can you verify your zip code?
Me: Do you mean the zip code I’m in now or the zip code where the card statement goes to?
Sir, where the card statement goes to.
Me: Got it…okay 90210
Sir, are you sure that is the right zip code?
Me: I’m pretty sure, yeah.
Sir, nothing is matching. Is the card in your name?
Me: No it isn’t.
Sir, what do you mean no it isn’t?
Me: Well, you didn’t ask my name, you only asked for a card number.
Sir, do you want a lower rate or not?
Me: well I’m thinking the guy that owns this card might since you’re going to scam him of his money.
{Calls me a mother-f’er and hangs up.}
