Security reasons, what?

Let me explain…

In 2015 I was hired to SEO a clients website and after 3 requests the web designer of such website refuses to allow me admin to the site.

He claims “security reasons”.

He says I need to tell him where changes need to be made and he will see they are made. So essentially I will have to make step by step instructions so someone else can follow and then hope they make all the necessary changes. This is going to take 3-4x longer than if he would just allow me to make the changes myself. This is not going to end well.

And it didn’t end well.

The client paid me to create step by step instructions and then the web designer either refused to make the appropriate changes or only changed what they wanted. And when the website didn’t rank well the web designed said see, that guy doesn’t know what he’s doing. Then I had to show the client how deceptive the web designer was. Yeah, like I said it didn’t end well.

That was many years ago…

I no longer take on clients who’s web designer doesn’t allow me access to the site. It’s the client’s site not the web designers. So if I’m not granted access then it’s a NO from me.
