I’m a big Star Wars fan…
…have been since the first movie appeared in 1977.

It’s a story of good versus evil, about valor, courage, overcoming great odds…

…I could go on and on.

But, lately I’ve been reading that the new director of the franchise wants to use it as a vehicle to promote an agenda… “Sexuality“.

My friends, this not a property that should be used for the purposes of teaching movie goers about sexuality.

But hey, the times are changing and everybody seems to have an agenda, I get that!

Do we really need our space heroes and villains to be straight or gay…can’t they just be?

Why do we need labels?

Why must we feel compelled to promote an agenda?

Why can’t people wonder about a character? Is he? Or isn’t he?

Nope, the powers that be think we are too dumb to think like that anymore and must be told unequivocally what the person stands for and how they will be from now on.

I look at people as fellow human beings…I honestly don’t want to know about their sexuality. I have enough to think about…I don’t need that mental image in my head.

Let’s stop the labeling, stop the agendas and just love each other as humans.
