Me: what? I think you have the wrong number.

Caller: oh, okay well maybe you can help me then.

Me: doubt it

Caller: we are calling on behalf of the disabled veterans

Me: which ones?

Caller: Our national center is out of Colorado.

Me: Seems legit then, since you are calling me from a Pennsylvania number.

Caller: Can we count on you for a donation of $20?

Me: how much did you give?

Caller: I don’t understand the question.

Me: if you want me to donate $20, how much did you donate?

Caller: We can take your credit card over the phone if you want to donate.

Me: Sure

Caller: Is the card under your name “Anne”

Me: Yeah, that’s right.

Caller: You don’t sound like an Anne to me.

Me: Have I questioned your life choices?

Caller: I don’t think you’re going to help us, and you wasted my time.

I told him up front I doubt I could help him…I don’t understand why he got pissy with me.
