I’m sorry Sir we can’t give you the discount!
Me: Why not
Well, someone at your address already claimed the discount.
Me: Hmm, this is a single family home and no one here is currently using your service.
Well, Sir, someone used your address to get the discount.
Me: How long ago?
Sir I can’t say.
Me: Why not?
Our system only goes back 3 years.
Me: And yet, the system is telling you that someone claimed the discount passed the 3 year mark.
Me: I find it rather suspicious that your system doesn’t go back farther than 3 years but knows that this address was used before to claim a discount. A discount which I might add is not based on location but on the actual person.
Me: Your advertisement clearly states “may only be used once per party name”
Sir, that’s a mistake and I am telling you it’s wrong.
Me: Your mistake is wrong or the advertisement is wrong?
Sir, do you want the product or not.
Me: What do you do when people from apartment complexes with the same address ask for the discount?
Sir that is different as they are in apartments and each apartment is technically a different address.
Me: Okay put me down for Apartment 1
Sir why didn’t you say that at the beginning of the call, you could have saved all this aggravation.
Me: Duly Noted.
