Reading through some of the unsubscribe replies on my subscriber emails today.
- I never signed up for your emails.
- The content is no longer relevant to me.
- The content is not what I expected.
Ninety-five percent of people saying they never signed up actually did sign up, they just don’t want to admit they did. But I will politely remind them the date and time they signed up and how they signed up.
The excuse that “the content is not relevant to me” is really predicated on their personality that day. I have seen people unsubscribe use that term as an excuse and the very next day re-subscribe. Yup, those split-personality subscribers are a pain.
And finally the content is not what I expected…seriously, what were you expecting? Cake recipes? This is a newsletter for entrepreneurs to learn how to be better at their skill. Not 101 ways to train your hamster. Or what pair of tighty-whiteys go best with their split personality that day.
Look if you wish to unsubscribe just do it…don’t give me your BS reason.
