One thing I’ve learned over the years is if the deal doesn’t feel right…walk away.
Don’t try to force it to fit within yours or someones needs. If it doesn’t feel right…it’s not going to work. And, no matter how much you want it to work…if your gut is telling you to walk away…listen.
Because, when you don’t listen, when you don’t walk away, when you accept a deal knowing full well you shouldn’t…that’s when you get burned!
Listen to your spidey-sense…learn to trust your feelings…be aware of who you are dealing with.
As my good friend Michael Schmidlen says, “Trust…but verify!”
Yes, I believe we should trust people, but we should also trust ourselves. We need to verify that the person we are dealing with can be trusted and that they will look out for us all through the deal.
If you believe that the person whom you wish to do business with is engaging in some trickery…say adios and high tail it out of there.
