I seriously would like to see Facebook’s list of community standards.
It seems lately that posts are being removed at random with no rhyme or reason.
And when we report posts that are obvious violations, Facebook says “it’s okay, but thanks for playing our game.”
So I wonder if the hiring process for Community Standard Screeners at Facebook goes like this…
Facebook:“Hi Mr Jones, can you be objective in your decision making and remove posts that are offensive?”
Mr Jones: “Offensive to whom?”
Facebook: “Well that is totally up to you.”
Mr Jones: “Hah, so what I say goes.”
Facebook: “Yes”
Mr Jones: “When can I start”
Facebook: “Right now”
Mr Jones: “You don’t care about my gang affiliation, my dislike for certain cultures or religions or the fact I don’t like a political candidate?”
Facebook: “Not even sure what you said there, but you are good to go, let’s get you started.”
I got banned for making a comment at someone called African-American Planet of the Apes.I was speaking into the phone and it was translated wrong. If you read it, it doesn’t make too much sense. I was going to edit it because a lot of it was wrong as far as wording. But I was banned before I could. If you’re going to ban me you should ban others when they call racist names out. Be fair.
