Me: Yes
Them: Well that is the technical service department to which you should have pressed option 2
Me: I did press option 2
Them: No Sir, you pressed option 3
Me: Look, I know what I pressed, so instead of arguing with me, just connect me over to that department.
Them: Sir, I do not have the ability to do that.
Me: So I just waited on hold for over 25 minutes for you to tell me you cant help me.
Them: Yes Sir, please call our number and press option 2 this time.
Me: So help me…
{Click they hung up}
{Me dialing the number and making sure I press Option 2}
{I swear the same person answered the phone and then transferred me to tech support.}
Tech: Hi Sir, I can help you
{Me explaining the problem.}
Tech: Well that shouldn’t be happening.
Me: And yet it is.
Tech: well how about we refund your money?
Me: how is refunding me money going to help fix the program that isn’t working?
Tech: Well we refund you your initial charge, then recharge your card and then it will pull the updated program into your file so you can redownload it.
Me: sounds stupid, why would design a system like that?
Tech: don’t know, but it usually solves the problem
{So they refunded me the initial purchase, recharged my credit card, and so I downloaded the updated program and it seems to work}
Tech: Anything else I can help you with?
Me: No
Tech: Would you mind holding for a brief survey?
Me: How brief?
Tech: I was told it’s brief, never actually took it.
Me: Mmm…
{I get transferred to the survey message}
“Thank you for agreeing to take our brief survey, time to completion is about 5 minutes depending on how you answer”
Me: hanging up.
