Them: Then why do you work so far ahead.
Me: Do you mean why am I working on July’s social content in May, or why I have blogs scheduled for the next 6 months or why I have a calendar planned so far ahead?
Them: Yes all of it
Me: The question is not why I have all those things planned out, but rather why is it you don’t.
Them: We do one week at a time.
Me: And what happens if you or a team member is sick, or on vacation or forgets to post that week?
Them: Hmm, then nothing goes out.
Me: This is exactly why I have stuff scheduled so far out. Especially, over the summer months when vacations happen.
Them: I still think its silly to devote all that time to schedule way ahead.
Me: I think it’s silly I’m still having this conversation with you.
Them: What?
Me: Oh, and thanks for calling, this just became a future post.
Them: What?
