A long long time ago, I was in an entrepreneur network group.
I remember one individual who kept questioning me as to why I was there.
Back then I hadn’t written any books, I didn’t blog, in fact I didn’t even have a website.
But the marketing I was doing at the time was positioning me to be the authority in my industry. One meeting I was showing the members of the network group the power of direct response marketing, the guy who initially questioned my reasons for being there seemed genuinely interested in learning too.
Yet, none of them wanted to implement it into their marketing.
Fast forward to today…none of those entrepreneurs in that network group are still around. Their businesses have long failed.
Direct response marketing is a still a fantastic way to build a business along with the power of websites, PPC, SEO, blogging, book publishing, article writing and social proof.
Yet many companies fail to implement those things. They fail to understand how marketing (in any form) works or why they should utilize it for their business.
Marketing gives companies longevity and enables them to carry out their legacy.
I wonder how many of those businesses will be long gone at the end of the year?
