Have you ever heard the expression, “It’s not the destination…it’s the journey”?

Hi I’m Rob Anspach, today as I was hiking with my family, I realized that the journey is more important and you learn more from that journey then the actual destination or the place that you’re going.
We were hiking up this mountain and there were a lot of pitfalls and obstacles and sometimes I kind of felt out of breath. But it was a very valuable lesson climbing up that mountain. It reminded me of all the struggles that I had to go through being my own boss, as an entrepreneur. All the struggles I had to over come in my 20 years of owning a business, coaching a business, coaching others or writing books. I think entrepreneurs forget that. They forget that there is a journey involved all they want to do is get to that destination. They want to be an instant success. It doesn’t work.
You have to take time. You have to learn. You have to understand. If it’s a mountain you’re climbing you have to understand where that mountain is taking you. And you have to look at all the pitfalls and obstacles that are in your way. Same with business.
People still look at me and say “Wow, you’re an instant success!” Hah!
It only took me 20 years to get here. Twenty years of life lessons that I had to learn. So when you’re on your journey, look at things that are happening to you, learn from them. Because when you finally reach that destination it’s because of the decisions you made while on your journey.
Hey this is Rob Anspach, hope you found this helpful. Leave a comment or two and tell me about your obstacles that you had to overcome on your journey. I would really love to hear from you. Talk to you later.
