Potential customer calls and asks for a quote…then rejects the quote as too high.
Then they post on Facebook they are looking for a person to do what was quoted.
They get 60 hungry entrepreneurs saying, “pick me”.
And all of them are willing to fight each other to the death for the ability to offer a lower price.
So How Do You Fight A Price War?
#1 Rule…You Don’t!
You maybe hungry for work…and desperately need the money.
But when you look and act desperate you will be treated as such.
If you want to undervalue your work and charge peanuts, what you’ll find is that you’ll never be able to be taken seriously.
And, the clients that hire you won’t stay loyal. Nor, will you be able to grow your business into a profitable entity.
You will just keep spinning your wheels looking for that next opportunity to be the cheapest vendor.
My advice: don’t think cheap, don’t engage with others that want cheap, and never ever get into a price war with a cheap service.
