Seems the powers that be at Facebook don’t fully understand their own terms of service.
I reported a fake account which had only been up for less than 2 weeks, posted the exact same picture 6 times and 8 out of the 10 posts contained links to phishing & porn sites. Facebook’s response…”thanks for contacting us, the page you reported doesn’t seem to violate our terms of service, if the page offends you try blocking the person.”
Facebook might not always provide the right answers…so you really need to pay attention.
Be careful who you accept.
Before you accept a person, click on their profile and see…
- how many friends in common
- what type of content they’re posting
- what does their profile picture look like
- how new the account is
- how many different pictures of themselves are posted and
- where are they located.
Oh, and if you receive a friend request from someone who you know is already a friend be careful.
In most cases it’s a spoofed profile and by accepting they are gaining access to your information to spoof your account too.
