Somedays…
I really hate the industry I’m in.

Yesterday was one of them.

Oh yes, there’s a story…
One I will gladly share with you.

You see, I was hired by a client to optimize their website. And so I did.
Now, it had only been a week since I started this project but already the website was starting to rank better.

Then it happened…
I went to log-in and my password no longer worked.
Weird, I thought.
So I went to my browser and pulled up the site.

Then I saw it…
The site has been updated, new things added and that’s when I discovered everything I did was undone.
I contacted the client.
The client tried to sign in – password denied.

Grr…
Then my IP address was blocked.
Double Grr!

Now I’m mad as heck
(because heck is doubly worse than hell, don’t you know)

Anyway…so today I’ll be helping the client contact the hosting company and restore access to the website, and once restored I will go back in and re-optimize the site.

Look, I’m one of the good guys…but there are days when even the good guys just want to throat punch someone. But I will save that glorious throat punch for the guy who locked us out. Which we believe to be the previous guy the client used before hiring me.
