Why is creating content so hard for some people?
Want to know the answer?
I’m Rob Anspach and for almost a decade now I’ve been teaching entrepreneurs all over the globe how to profit from social media. But not just profit, how to build trust with their audiences, their fans, friends and followers, and it’s all about the content that you put out there.
Now, some would say, “well, I just don’t have time”, or “it’s too hard” or “I don’t know what to post” or my favorite, “I don’t know what to do”.
Well, I’m going to give you some tips, secrets and things that I do because unveiling your content to the world it’s really as easy as one, two, three. I originally made this article as an instructional video. That’s one way for you to create content and that one way can produce several different options for you. You see with the video, I can have it transcribed. That transcription now can become a blog article, so now you have the video on Facebook or YouTube or Linkedin. You have the transcript, which becomes your blog article on your website or shared on Linkedin. You can then turn the audio from the videos into podcasts if it’s lengthy enough, which now becomes content that’s out there for anybody to have access to anytime they want.
So if you’ve been in whatever industry you’re in for at least a couple of years, you know what it is that clients are asking. Turn your frequently asked questions into videos. Take one question, turn it into a video and just like how I started this article out. You pose a question, introduce yourself, answer the question, and give people a way to contact you.
Give the reader, or listener of your videos a way to contact you. In my case with video I give them my website www.AnspachMedia.com to learn more about what I do. The articles and videos are very powerful because when people are searching for those frequently asked questions, they’re going to find you. They’re going to find your podcast. They’re going to find your article. They’re going to see what you posted on Linkedin.
Creating content is not hard. It’s just you have to break away from that fear that you have that maybe your content isn’t good enough or the answers that you give aren’t good enough or you just don’t think you look good enough behind camera.
I’ve made about 600-700 videos over the last few years. And although that might seem impressive to some, a friend of mine, Gerry Oginski, just released his 3000th video on his personal YouTube channel. Now that’s a lot of content. That’s a lot of answers to frequently asked questions. That’s a lot of answers to content that maybe people have never thought of, but the videos are out there. And the transcripts to the articles are out there.
Now you have all this content that you can clip from. You can take the highlights of the video, make it into a short teaser. You can take again the highlights and turn them into memes, quotes, sharables that you can put out on social media.
This is what we do every single day here at Anspach Media, we help our clients build trust with their audience, their fans, friends and followers. So if you’re not entirely sure how this process works, even though I walked you through some of the tips, give us a call.
