“Rob, I want to help you write your book.”

{was the headline of the email I received}

The email went on and on and on some more about how they could help me write my very first book. So I looked the email sender up on Amazon to see which books he authored.

Hmm, not there. I look again. Nothing. Looked on several other author sites…still nothing.

Yet, he wants to help me write my first book. Curious.

So I called the number. The guy answered and sounded so excited someone responded to his email.

I asked him if he knew who I was.
He replies, “No” but I could hear him typing away when I gave him my name.

There was a brief pause.

His excited voice changed to one of disappointment and he asks, “why are you calling me?”

Me: “Apparently you Google’d me or looked me up on Amazon”

The Guy: “Yeah, you’ve written many, many books”

Me: “That’s right and you’ve written how many”

The Guy: “Well none per se, but have helped many get their books published”

Me: “How many?”

{he hung up – guess he got tired of the call}

If you need help on a book hire someone who has actually authored and produced many books. It may sound like common sense, unfortunately many entrepreneurs take advice from people who have zero experience in helping them.
