It’s not everyday…in fact, I doubt anyone has ever put those two words together to describe fairies until I came along.
Hah, thats the sheer beauty of being a part of my talks. You never know what will be shared. And, that’s a good thing!
You see, I was giving a talk to a group of writers at the Lexicon Writers Conference in Denton Texas on Saturday, July 18, 2015 and that’s how “Menopausal Ninja Fairies” was born. I don’t prepare for my talks, I don’t use slides, power points or tele-prompters…I build trust with the audience by being real and letting my personality shine.
I explained to the group of writers listening to me talk that deviating from your current writing style to that which is polar opposite can hurt your brand and undo the trust you created…even if the subject seems cooler than what you currently write about.
Trust creation is about being real, not about being something you aren’t. So although sounding like someone you aren’t or emulating them sounds neat-o it sends a message to your current clients that your thoughts are that of someone else and says, “not trusting” to your fan base.
Regardless if you’re an author, entrepreneur, service provider or product creator make sure your fan base understands who you truly are and what you stand for…this is how trust is created and how trust is treated.
