You ever see those “I do not give Facebook permission posts”?
(watch the video…or scroll below to read the transcript)
They kind of go like this…”I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my picture, information, messages, posts, blah, blah, blah…with this statement I give notice to Facebook that its strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute or whatever!” You know, that garbage doesn’t work.
Stop putting that on there!
And just because you see something that looks official, “Oh, Channel 13 says it”, it’s not true. You see, when you signed up for Facebook or any social network you relinquished your right to do anything. Thats right when you sign up for free service you are agreeing to their terms and services.
So posting those statements on your social media doesn’t do anything but make you look stupid. So if you don’t want anyone to have permission to use your stuff don’t go on social media. Don’t be on Facebook, don’t be on anywhere else.
Hey this is Rob Anspach, be social…but you don’t have to do these stupid permission things because they don’t work. You want to be around us, you want to be on social and have fun, and post and boost your business and do this…then you’re going to have to accept the terms and conditions set forth by these social providers. Otherwise, I know a few caves you can live in. You can’t escape this stuff. Hey talk to you later.
