As Devani and I were preparing notes for episode 12 of the Social Leverage Show we get word that Blab officially shut down. Well, I was sad…for like a minute. Although I kind of had a feeling Blab wouldn’t be lasting too long. I was actually amazed we were able to get 11 episodes out of it.
You see I had the Blab app on my phone for almost a year and never used it. It seems to have been a recurring theme for some. They just weren’t sure what Blab was about and didn’t have a clue why it even existed. So by the time Devani and I came up with the idea for the show we kind of new the days of Blab were limited.
And sadly, Google just announced they are dropping Google+ and Google Hangouts. Although in Google+’s case Google has been trying to save them for over a year so the news wasn’t really that shocking.
So what will happen to the Social Leverage Show?
Well, we are exploring several options…including a cool podcast style show and an awesome book (which I’m writing now).
I invite you to watch the 11 episodes we did covering Facebook Groups, Instagram, Pinterest, Algorithms, Email, SEO, Twitter, Snapchat and more.
Here’s the link to watch all them… https://anspachmedia.com//social-leverage-weekly-show-for-entrepreneurs/
We will keep you posted with future developments.
But here’s the thing…all technology changes. You either adapt to it or allow it to fade away.
Those depend on certain technologies don’t know how to course correct when those technologies fail or cease to exist. Then what?
Most scramble to try to figure out their next step…if there is a next step. And sadly, some can’t adjust to the change and simply close up shop.
Always…always have a back up plan. A plan “B” or “C” or whatever letter you wish to call it.
Never allow technology to be YOUR downfall.
Remember the whole purpose of Social Leverage is to leverage your authority across many platforms and networks so if one goes down it doesn’t effect you.
If you’re still struggling trying to figure out social media – I invite you to get my social media books “Social Media Debunked” and “Share: 27 Ways To Boost Your Social Media Experience, Build Trust and Attract Followers” and if you’d like to really dig deep into learning I would suggest signing up for our 30 Day Social Media Marketing Course.
Or you can wait a couple more months when we release the “Social Leverage” book.
